"Magic Happens" - Disneyland's Parade Oozes Diversity

The "Magic Happens Parade" made its debut down main street in the Spring of 2020, just before COVID-19 put a hold on the production.

It is a hard thing- working toward something for so long and then having it come to complete stop without any warning. In a sense, watching all the "magic" that had been created vanish right in front of you.

But, then I thought of it from another perspective, from the perspective that "creating magic" is done in a million different ways, both big and small, every single day. It doesn't need to be in the form of a major production with floats, music, dancing and pixie dust in order to be impactful. In fact, some of the most "magical moments" come in the quite, lonely parts of life.

In the "Magic Happens" parade at Disneyland there is a DIVERSE group of characters (Woot Woot!), my favorites being- Moana, Coa Coa, Aladin, and Princess Tiana and Naveen.

What I hadn't thought of until this COVID-19 pandemic hit is that all of these characters found magic, and even found a deeper part of themselves, while they were alone and removed from the craziness of the world around them. In fact, this holds true for many of Disney's beloved stories.

Take advantage of this quarantine- go pop some popcorn and watch all the classic Disney fairytales, trust me, they'll put a smile on your face.

Also, if you didn't get a chance to see the new "Magic Happens" parade at Disneyland enjoy the video below, and know you'll get the chance to see it in person soon! Everyone is excited to be waltzing down Main Street together again.
